Kiera's Legacy: She Would've Wanted More Pet Owners To Feed Their Dogs Right...
the legacy of kiera lee - yellow labrador retriever

The other adorable yellow lab in this photo is Skylar (Kiera's 2 year old stepsister). Kiera taught "Sky" everything she needed to know about the ways of being a loving, protective domesticated puppy and didn't leave this world until she knew her family was in good hands...er..uh...good paws, that is! Perhaps, however, Kiera can teach humans even more:  For one thing, a negative terminal diagnosis is NOT always accurate. If anything can be learned from Kiera's extra 2 years of life, it's that second opinions are dog-gone important! Even more importantly, Kiera's long life teaches that processed dog food in cans is absolute crap. It's created by a money-driven industry designed to get people thinking they're the only ones who can provide canines with "proper nutrition" but cans of processed mush like that are found nowhere in the wild. We're not vets, but we believe that feeding your dog organic chicken, organic sweet potatoes, organic eggs, organic rice, organic peas, and occasional organic red meat is the best way to go. This more closely resembles a diet they might experience in the wild and, at the very least, represents "clean eating." What good could possibly come from continuing to feed them processed canned goods?
